Join for a week of excursions and immersion in the local culture to discover the land of the Mediterranean diet and Franciscanism.
This experience boasts an itinerary that goes through suggestive mule tracks, ancient churches, and mythological tales and stories to discover the territory of the Sibillini mountains. You will learn all the secrets of the Mediterranean diet, included by UNESCO in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
You will be able to relax in warm natural pools, as the ancient Romans did, and get to know the lifestyle of the inhabitants of this charming territory.

Arrival in Sarnano (MC) by 5 p.m. at the hotel and room assignment.
Sarnano is a village in the province of Macerata listed among the "Most beautiful villages in Italy".
The noble family that long ruled these lands was called Brunforte and was linked to the bishops of the powerful Fermo.
At 06:00 p.m., welcome drink with your guide, who will describe the program in detail.
At 07:30 p.m., dinner will be served, based on typical products of the Mediterranean diet. This diet has been scientifically validated in the Marche region, and thanks to a sixty-year study it has been possible to include it in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage of Humanity list.

At 7.30 a.m., independent transfer to the starting point.
The places you will visit will take you into the magical world of the Sibyl, through the energy and beauty of nature and life in the mountains: the gorges of Infernaccio, the hermitage of San Leonardo al Volubrio, Faggeta, the historical source of the 15th century, the hidden waterfall.
There will be no lack of storytelling declined in the different possibilities of the territory: naturalistic, historical and anthropological.
A good box lunch will help you recover your energy, while enjoying the surrounding landscape.

Montalto di Cessapalombo Castle, Gratta dei frati, Fiastrone Gorge, Sanctuary of S. Liberato, Soffiano Hermitage

Today you will discover enchanting places, exploring history (the Benedictine and Franciscan hermitages, the clareni, the places where the fioretti of St. Francis were written, Franciscan art), nature (gorges and stones, the forest and floral endemics), and mountain life (the charcoal pits, the coppice wood, the fortification, the high-altitude cultivations).
Visit the castle of Montalto di Cessapalombo, the Frati cave, the Fiastrone gorges, the sanctuary of San Liberato, and the hermitage of Soffiano.
Packed lunch.
In the late afternoon return to the hotel and relaxation, from 07.30 p.m. dinner with traditional products.

The fourth day of the tour is dedicated to rest, with the possibility of extra visits to be arranged the day before. There are three different options to choose from (to be paid for on site):
Option 1: visit to Fermo with thematic routes of your choice.
Option 2: visit to Ascoli Piceno with thematic routes of your choice.
(N.B. On the same day the group can choose either option. Two subgroups can also be created).
Option 3 (excludes the previous options): shopping in the outlets of the area, discovering the world-famous hat and shoe district.
Option 1: visit to Fermo with thematic routes of your choice.
Option 2: visit to Ascoli Piceno with thematic routes of your choice.
(N.B. On the same day the group can choose either option. Two subgroups can also be created).
Option 3 (excludes the previous options): shopping in the outlets of the area, discovering the world-famous hat and shoe district.
Mount Sibilla and Terra di Marca

Today you will tackle the heights of Mount Sibilla, at 1574m above sea level.
The protagonists of the excursion will be the Apennines, with its nature, mountains and eco-sustainable exploitation of the territory, and literature, with precious references and dedicated readings between legends and chivalry.

In the late afternoon, return to the facility, and from 07.30 p.m., dinner with traditional products.
Useful information: Height difference: about 700 meters. Distance: 12 km. Duration: 5/6 hours.

Lost Apennines, Roman baths, Paggese and Valledacqua Monastery
Paggese, 63041 Acquasanta Terme, Italia
Today you will visit the places of the lost Apennines and the Roman baths, but also towns and historical monuments. During your walk, you will get to know the naturalistic aspects of this area and you will walk along the Roman road. These roads will take you to a natural thermal area where you can relax in the warm/hot sulphurous water pools.

At 03:00 p.m. we leave to visit Paggese and the monastery of Valledacqua.
Return to the facility. From 07.30 p.m., farewell dinner with traditional products
Useful information: Height difference: about 200m. Distance: 7 km. Duration: 3/4 hours.
NB: There is the possibility of bathing in the thermal waters, we recommend that you bring a swimming costume and slippers.

Additional Info
The routes and activities may vary depending on weather conditions and/or external factors beyond our control. The walks are suitable for everyone, the routes are easy to follow with low or moderate gradients, but considering that the average duration of the walks is about 6 to 8 hours, we recommend adequate physical preparation. Transfers to the starting point are autonomous. If required, a local transfer service can be arranged at a cost of €145 per person, which will be available for all the days of the activity program. Group tours for min 7 - max 15 people. Private tours are possible with a supplement.
