The arrival is expected in the early afternoon. After the accommodation in your rooms there will be a briefing. We will get ready for our urban trekking with a local friend that will lead you through the alleys of the hamlet of Ganci (Borgo di Ganci), proclaimed one of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy in 2014.
This path gives you the chance to create a first connection with the territory. In the evening we will be delighted by a light dinner with some Sicilian specialties, a real goodness!

After breakfast we will be ready to go for an urban trekking in Geraci Siculo, everything is going to be special in fact we will be accompanied by donkeys. We will walk through the old town made of an intricate system of alleys from which you can see the nearby mountain, we will arrive at the suggestive “Salto dei Ventimiglia”. Here, we will be in front of the bell towers with bright colored spires and finally the ruins of the castle, from which you have the view of an endless landscape. We will have the opportunity to meet some local artisans who will tell us their stories and make us touch their work. Our walk in the company of donkeys will continue to the farm where we will taste dairy products. We’ll be back for dinner.

After breakfast, we will meet with the guide that will take us to the starting altitude of 1250 meters above sea level from Piano Farina. Crossing it you enter on a track that leads to the valley Madonna degli Angeli an emblematic place holds little more than 20 plants wrecks of local fir, unique in the world in danger of extinction. On a hairpin bend of the track a path departs, and it will take a short time to meet the first specimens of Abies Nebrodensis, all strictly catalogued and protected, easily recognizable by the habit of the bell-shaped crown, from the pinecone and from the order of the branches arranged to cross. The route continues in a beautiful beech forest to the Sanctuary Madonna dell'Alto at an altitude of 1850 meters, from there open beautiful landscapes and you can admire the villages of Petralia Sottana, Petralia Soprana and Gangi. The return is scheduled in the afternoon some free time and dinner in the restaurant.

After breakfast, with our luggage we will move to Castelbuono for a trek in the path named Giant Holly (Agrifogli Giganti) in Piano Promo. Vegetation in the upper part of the territory of Castelbuono varies from chestnut to holm oak, from oaks to holly, from hundred-year-old oaks and over 1400mt to beech. Our trail starts from Rifugio Crispi in Piano Sempria along the path at the foot of Monte Ferro and reaches Piano Pomo where you can admire the Giant Holly, unique specimens in the world, more than 15 meters high. Through a stony forest road, easy to walk, we will immerse ourselves in a magical atmosphere of rare beauty. The first plants that we will meet are real monuments of nature because are the centuries-old oaks of over 800 years and after a flat stretch you return to Piano Pomo. After the excursion we will have the opportunity to take a walk in the center of Castelbuono maybe to taste a Panettone or a good ice cream with brioches. In the late afternoon, we will reach Cefalù where we will dine at the restaurant and stay overnight for the last two nights.

After breakfast we will do a wonderful urban trekking in the hamlet of Cefalù. Along the alleys and path that from the historic center lead you to the stronghold of Cefalù you will discover the flora, the fauna, the archaeology, the geology and the history that characterize this small but unique limestone promontory. From viewpoint of the stronghold, you will admire a breathtaking landscape while walking through the alleys of the Norman town you will discover the traditions and culture of the seaside village. For lunch we can decide whether to have lunch in a restaurant in the historic center based on fish or enjoy a nice brioche with ice cream. We will send the afternoon on the beach to enjoy a bit of relaxation in one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day off. After breakfast we will do the activity planned with our contact person at the beginning of the holiday.
We can choose between three options: the first with a dinghy in the Gole di Tiberio and the zipline in San Mauro di Castelverde, the second more cultural and relaxing with a bit of sea and an urban trekking in Cefalù and the last choice which is greedier and more mystical: “Discovering the Manna degli Dei” and tasting of Sicilian Artisan Ice cream and Panettone of Fiasconaro. Dinner at your choice.
